Dunmoran Strand

I had been asked to take a shot of Dunmoran Strand by a customer who lives nearby. I had only been to Dunmoran once before many years ago and had forgotten how beautiful a stretch of coastline it is. The beach is two miles long and sweeps right up to towards Aughris Head.

It took a number of trips to West Sligo to get the weather and tides right for the photograph. The morning I managed to get this shot the weather had clouded up by the time I arrived from Carney across the bay but within an hour or so the sun broke through again. While I was waiting a fisherman arrived and set up on the shore which I think adds to the photo.
