This photograph of Lower Lough MacNean was taken from Marlbank in May 2011.

Lough MacNean is a large freshwater lake that straddles the Cavan/Fermanagh border. The Upper and Lower lakes are separated by a small river that flows between the sister villages of Blacklion and Belcoo.
The village of Belcoo can be seen to the left of the photograph. There are two islands on Lower Lough MacNean; Cushrush Island and the smaller Inishee or Jinnys Island.
